Combine the innovative technology of metamaterials – artificial materials with properties that cannot be found in ordinary materials – with the dynamic characteristics of the plasma for the realization of highly innovative communication systems for aerospace applications. This is the main goal of the M2P project, promoted by Alma Sistemi S.r.l. and developed in partnership with the Engineering Department of Roma Tre University.
The study of advanced materials arises from the growing need to create innovative antenna systems exhibiting high gain, reconfigurability capabilities and antijamming and antispoofing potentialities. The M2P project is the latest in a series of R&D initiatives which sees the Department of Engineering of ROMA TRE University as a relevant player at the national and international level in the field of advanced artificial electromagnetic materials for Engineering the next-generation ICT systems.
