The aim of the course is to introduce the student in Bioengineering to the main synthesis and analysis techniques of advanced materials used in the design and construction of bio-devices. The course includes theoretical-experimental activities aimed at learning the main chemical preparation processes (nanostructured surfaces, nano-particles, etc) and characterization techniques (surface tension, FTIR, impedance spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, etc) of advanced biomaterials such as titanium and its alloys, biological materials, etc.
