Course aim This course aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of structural reliability analysis and probabilistic catrastrophe risk modelling within the context of engineered systems. With a special focus on natural hazards and extreme loads, this foundational course equips students with essential tools and methodologies for conducting structural reliability analysis and probabilistic risk assessments at both the component and system levels, preparing them for various practical contexts and real-world challenges.
